"Every single wound has a story to tell"

Tracie Endelson, OMD

Cumulating more than 20 years as a holistic wellness practitioner, I started my journey as a shiatsu massage practitioner in 2002 studying at the Shiatsu Massage School of California and then learned more about skincare. In 2008, I  graduated with honors in esthiology from the Aveda Institute in New York. I’ve always had a passion for herbal medicine even in my youth. My first experience with acupuncture was when I was 9 years old. After 4 years and nearly 3,000 hours (900 clinical most of which were women's health focused) In 2017, I graduated with honors from the MATCM program in Los Angeles at Yo San University. My specialities include women’s health, pain management, facial rejuvenation including help with seasonal allergies, TMJ, & microneedling.

Before acupuncture school,  I graduated Cum Laude  with a BA in psychology and minor in business from the University at Albany in New York, where I am originally from. Like a true New Yorker I can be very blunt, but like the tough love type :)

I've lived in all four corner's of the country and worked in various settings from boutique to resort spa's, completed an externship at Venice Family Clinic, & traveled to Japan for Japanese style acupuncture. I also have experience as a spa technical trainer traveling to various parts of the world. Receiving treatment's with me is truly a unique experience as no one else in the area provides what I can offer as far as the combination of modalities and quality of such treatments.

As a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California, NCCAOM diplomate in Oriental Medicine, and Doctor of Oriental Medicine in the state of Nevada, it is required to keep up with up to 60 hours of continuing education on each of their periodic timetables. This allows me to continue honing my skills and keeping up with the newest findings in Eastern Medicine especially as it integrates with western medicine with research backing up what ancient medicine has always known.

I walk the walk, not just talk the talk. It's very important for me to practice what I preach. My self-care includes receiving periodic chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture treatments, massages, spa days or hot springs soaks, full body soaks at home and foots soaks, self cupping, self microneedling/nanoneedling, taking herbs and supplements, getting plenty of rest, sunshine, and exercise with daily walks, qi cultivation, stretching/yoga, hiking, swimming, ice-skating, eating right 80% of the time, & working on some craft like this year I completed a diamond dot project that took nearly 1 1/2 years to complete but I find it feels good to have a creative outlet, & creative writing.

Family is very important to me and besides my little family unit of my husband and daughter the rest of my family is spread out throughout the country, most of them on the east coast so I try to take a couple weeks each year to travel to see them. Why and how I landed in the Carson Valley/Lake Tahoe area is a longer story I'd be happy to share in person if interested. I am no stranger to loss and by the age of 37 I had already experienced the loss of both my parents. It's a weird thing to not really feel like home is anywhere, but I hope this is it. I'm ready to lay down my roots and thrive!

I opened Pin'd Acupuncture Clinic in 2024 with the intention to make acupuncture in the Carson Valley area more accessible while also providing private tailored treatments using all my modalities of bodywork, cupping,  herbal medicine, acupuncture, & qi cultivation. I genuinely love what I do, making people feel better and more empowered in their wellness lifestyle.

I am not currently in network with any insurance companies but I can provide a superbill with codes you can submit to your insurance directly. I only provide this when you let me know at the time of that service. If I have to go back and bulk code, there will be an administrative fee of $25.

I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story!

Pin’d Acupuncture Clinic office policies and other notes about treatments

  1. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call or email at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours are subject pay up to the full treatment amount determined at the practitioner’s discretion.
  2. Any outstanding balance due to a missed appointment or last-minute cancellation will result in a scheduling freeze until resolved. As of January 2026 I am forced to reserve first appointments with a credit card number as I cannot afford to have no show appointments. I am a small business that respectfully and professionally demands my office policies be followed.
  3. If the practitioner needs to cancel an appointment within 24 hours that is not weather related or due to a true emergency the patient will earn one same day cancellation pass or complimentary community acupuncture treatment.
  4. Payment is due at the time of service of a booked appointment whether you show up or not.
  5. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and personal checks. For any bounced checks the patient is responsible to cover any costs incurred as a result.
  6. If it's been more than 6 months since your last visit you will need to book a re-evaluation 75 minute appointment that is the same price as the initial appointment. If you have a follow-up appointment credit, you may still use that credit for the value it is worth and pay the difference. That is the same for any increase in price for the service you book.
  7. Please notify the practitioner of any unpleasant reaction to the treatment, interaction, or side effects from herbal prescriptions so a possible solution can be worked on in a timely manner.
  8. Remember that sometimes you may feel worse before you feel better. Some refer to this as the healing crisis. Making changes is not always pleasant or comfortable. The most rewarding achievements are often the most challenging. Be kind to yourself and others as we’re all on a different path and none are exempt from hardships. As one of my favorite sayings goes “Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.” Embrace the unknown and have faith and trust in your own healing path.
  9. Remember I hold a sacred space, but I will not tolerate being threatened, harassed, or purposely misunderstood with ill intentions at any point. If you think you misheard something, please ask for clarification.
  10. In order to truly benefit from the treatments, you must be fully honest with yourself and with me.
  11.  Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or anything with synthetic fragrance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. This one is very important as I have clients with severe reactions and it is vital to keep a neutral environment. I don't like or want to turn anyone away because of this issue and I now offer consulting to help clarify what may be toxic in your environment.
